Finding Hope in Mistakes

Person P

Have you ever made a big mistake? Big mistakes can leave us feeling afraid that God is not with us, that He doesn't care, and won't provide strength, help, or protection.

The Bible tells us about an entire community, thousands of people who felt or were about to feel that way. The Israelites had made a covenant with Yahweh: obedience would bring prosperity, while disobedience would lead to exile.

By the time Isaiah began his ministry, they had broken their commitment, facing the consequences. Yet, God did not abandon them.

In Isaiah 41:10, God sent the prophet to remind them:

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. '

Remember Isaiah's words when facing the consequences of a big mistake: Do not fear, for God is with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, help you, and uphold you with my victorious right hand.

God, I pray for guidance as I navigate the consequences of my mistakes in family, relationships, ministry, work, and all aspects of life. Help me remember that You are with me, dispel my fears, and provide the strength to endure. Amen.
