What does it take to be a follower of Jesus? Learn from an Inclusive Church

“My dear friends, you always obeyed when I was with you. Now that I am away, you should obey even more. So, work with fear and trembling to discover what it really means to be saved. God is working in you to make you willing and able to obey Him.” Philippians 2:12-13

In what ways do we move to become a follower of Jesus? Did He leave us with signs or examples of going through this process?

To be a follower of Jesus means to be His disciple, supporter, and student, always eager to absorb His teachings. It's not a quick path to heaven but a wholehearted commitment to love, kindness, and humility.

Yes! You can become a follower of Jesus because God's Spirit dwells deep within you, and nothing stands between you and His love for you. But being a Christian is not just a label – it's who you are and what you do. When you believe in Jesus, following His ways wherever He leads makes perfect sense.

Honor and Obey Christ

As followers, it's our lifetime obligation to honor and obey Christ, driven by our love for Him. This decision should impact every aspect of our lives.

To live a Christian life, we must make Christ the center, dedicate time to Him, attend church, be generous, serve others, and share our stories. It's not about us but about bringing glory to God. Jesus authorized us as His believers.

Being a disciple of Jesus should be what motivates us each day. Learn from and follow the Lord. Let His goodness dwell in your life. Prioritize Jesus above all else, pray to Him, and abide by His words. Worship with other believers and be a witness for the Lord.

May we all come to know the perfect love of Jesus and experience His grace and mercy. Let's find clarity in our purpose as we journey in complete surrender to Him.
